Am I a member?

Welcome to MA! You are a member when you say you are. Our 3rd Traditions states “the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using marijuana.” You are welcome to be a part of the recovery community here if you have stopped using, or if you still use but want to quit. Our program begins with one addict talking to another, and so we have structured meetings, group chat, and private messaging. Our site is open to the internet so professionals, family members, and others may visit. Our meetings are open, but those who don’t identify as having a problem with pot are asked not to share or comment.

As a member, you are the voice of MA for the district and MA as a whole, and your ideas can be accomplished with a group conscience as expressed in the 2nd Tradition: “For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority, a loving God whose expression may come through in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.” If you or a group of people have an idea for a meeting, or the site, let a meeting decide, or suggest it to a host or moderator.

At MA Online we celebrate milestones of recovery and give chips for various lengths of sobriety from marijuana, alcohol, and other mind altering chemicals.

We have virtual and physical chips to recognize milestones of sobriety. For thirty days and up we have virtual chips. You can reward yourself by accessing a link here. Better yet, share your sobriety time in a meeting or in the chatroom, and someone can send you a virtual chip.
